Parental Involvement

We held educational workshops for our parents, these have been very successful, and the parents have greatly benefitted from the advice and guidance provided. It is difficult for parents to always know how to approach concepts, especially in this ever-changing climate. We are happy to arrange workshops in safeguarding or in education, please do let us know if there are any specific areas of training that would benefit you. We will try and accommodate these in the new year.

If you as a parent feel that you can add value to the school by either supporting us in a voluntary capacity or providing advice and guidance in any of the areas mentioned this is welcomed. Please do contact us and we will arrange a meeting.

Al-Khair School has an active Parent Teacher Association (PTA) comprising of parents and staff from the school. The PTA  organise many gatherings and events throughout the year and play an important role in raising funds for the school.

Everyone can play an active part in the life of the PTA. All parents are automatically members of the PTA and we do encourage you to get involved in our activities. Please do try and volunteer to help out at one of the many events throughout the year. It is an opportunity not just to help the school, but also to develop our school community.

Ofsted Parent View

Ofsted Parent View is an online survey that allows parents to give their views about their child’s school. Parents can complete the survey at any time. By ‘parents’, we mean any person with parental responsibility for a child at the school.

Ofsted Parent View is also the main mechanism for parents to give their views to inspectors at the time of a school inspection.

You can access the survey directly from the Ofsted Parent View site or from the homepage of Ofsted website.

We encourage parents to use Ofsted Parent View to give the views on a school either during an inspection or at any other time of the year.
